I work in LaTeX A LOT, particularly with the beamer class and the Sweave package in R, which means that I spend more time than the average LaTeX user formatting my output. I finally decided I need to start archiving my findings, so I welcome you to my blog, which will act as my archive of my LaTeX and Sweave tricks that we always forget. There will be no update schedule, but if you forget something stupid about LaTeX formatting, or need help with Sweave, check here first.

Creating Columns in Articles
I was going to write a blog about this subject, but I found someone else blog that already does it. Rather than be a jerk and steal his (or her) content, I'll just link to it.
The only thing I would add is that, for anybody that uses the \textwidth variable, it still refers to the width of the page, and not the width of the column, so use \columnwidth instead.
